I worked on it on and off for about a week refining it as i learned new techniques. I started with a grid that I made in Photoshop. I overlaid the same grid over the original photo and hand drew the basic shapes while looking at the photo on my laptop.<\/p>\n<p><div class='p_embed p_image_embed'><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Guide\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/art.blodget.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/guide1.jpg?resize=320%2C480\" width=\"320\" \/><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>After I blocked in the colors I could not longer see the grid so my proportions got off. The lighthouse is a bit long in the lamp.
